Athena Package

Athens, Delphi , One day cruise

  • First day: Athens

    Arrival in Athens and transfer from the airport to the Hotel with assistance. Enjoy the rest of the day with a tour of a first impression of the city.

    Second day: Athens City Tour

    Athens half day tour begins with a panoramic drive around Syntagma square, passing by National Garden, Hadrian’s Arch, St. Paul’s Church, Parliament, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Catholic Cathedral, and Schliemann’s House. You will then drive past the Athens Trilogy, which includes the University of Athens, the Academy of Athens, and the National Library. Your licensed guide will explain more of Athens’s history old and new as you look at these stately buildings. Continue for a photo stop at Panathinaiko Stadium where the first Olympic Games took place in 1896. It is the only stadium built out of white marble. Proceed, passing by Zappeion and Temple of Olympian Zeus.

    Make your way to the archaeological site of Acropolis and UNESCO’S world heritage monument. Visit the Propylae the monumental entrance to the Acropolis which blends Doric and Ionic building principles, and the small temple Athena Nike, which stands on a protruding mass of rock, protecting the gate to the city and of course the Parthenon, and Erechtheion with its porch of Maidens.

    Third day: Delphi

    At the foot of Mount Parnassos, lies the Pan-Hellenic sanctuary of Delphi, which was the most famous Oracle of ancient Greece. Delphi is the second-most important archeological site in Greece (after the Acropolis in Athens) and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Delphi, dates to the ninth century B.C. and whose allure includes an amazing hillside setting and ruins that will intrigue even the most skeptical among you

    According to mythology, it is here that the two eagles, sent out by Zeus from the ends of the universe to find the navel of the world, met. The sanctuary of Delphi, set within a most spectacular landscape, was for many centuries the most trusted oracle in the ancient world from which the spirit of Apollo gave advice on everything from domestic matters to wars. To the northwest of the sanctuary of Athena Pronaia lay the gymnasium, a place that was used for exercise and learning, the palaestra and the baths. The central, most important part of the site is the sanctuary of Apollo. The stadium of Delphi is one of the best-preserved monuments of its kind.  situated in the highest part of the ancient city. The Museum of Delphi has also some amazing findings from the area, the most famous being the Omphalos, the statue “The Charioteer” and the two sculptures of Cleobis and Biton.

    Many believe the place to have a special magic and report being moved spiritually when visiting Delphi. Ancient engravings on the stone such as ‘Know Thyself’ and ‘Nothing in Excess’ could be a lesson for all generations to come.

    Delphi is located only three hours’ drive from Athens and it is a unique archaeological site to visit joining a day tour from Athens.

    Fourth day: One-day cruise

    Take a day cruise from Athens to the fabulous Greek islands of Hydra, Poros and Aegina for a relaxing day on the sea. With all your transport, transfers and buffet lunch organized, you can sit back and enjoy your leisurely day cruise with free time on each island to explore. After transferring from Athens to the port by motor coach, you’ll set sail for the island of Poros, where you’ll have free time for strolling and shopping .

    Next, it’s on to the island of Hydra. You will have about 1 hour and 45 minutes at leisure to enjoy the unique charms of Hydra island, whose amphitheater shape once served as a safe shelter for Saronic Pirates. From the decks, you will be able to admire the very special architecture and dramatic landscapes of this island, whose old traditional stone houses and mansions silently stand witness to a long and turbulent history.

    Upon arrival in Egina (Aegina) you can either join an excursion to the Temple of Aphaia (cost not included) or take a walk around the main town. Aegina is one of the Saronic islands of Greece in the Saronic Gulf. The lovely island is only 31 miles (50 kilometers) from Athens, and is a popular getaway for Athenians during the summer months.

    After sailing back to the port you’ll be transferred to Athens.

    Lunch included and return to Athens around 19:30 pm.

    Fifth day: Athens

    Free day.

    Sixty Day:

    Transfer from the hotel to the airport.

    Day 4: Argolis (Mycenae & Epidauros)

    Explore with this guided one full day trip from Athens to Argolis the remains of the ancient city of Mycenae a major center of Greek civilization from 1600BC to 1100BC and a world heritage monument. Depart from our terminal for one-day tour via the coastal National highway for the Corinth canal (shortstop). After the Corinth Canal, you enter the region of Argolis, land of Homer’s Golden Mycenae, and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Dating back to the second century B.C., Mycenae was one of the major centers of Greek civilization and a military stronghold, which dominated much of southern Greece.

    Visit the archaeological site, home to the kingdom of mythical Agamemnon. You will see the Cyclopean Walls, the Lion’s Gate, the Royal Tombs, including Agamemnon Clytemnestra’s, and the Treasury of Atreus, a magnificent 14th-century B.C. structure. Time for a traditional Greek lunch at a nearby restaurant.

    Before lunch an optional stop in a pottery factory. After lunch through ARGOS proceed to Nauplia the first capital of modern Greece with its Venetian fortress of PALAMIDI and the fortified islet of BOURTZI (shortstop). Continue on to Epidaurus and visit the ancient theatre. The UNESCO’S world heritage listed monument is reputed to be the birthplace of Apollo’s son Asclepius, the healer and was the most celebrated healing center of the classical world. Epidaurus is probably most famous for its theatre, one of the best preserved classical Greek buildings and still used today due to its amazing acoustics. The Argolis (Mycenae – Epidaurus) day tour returns to Athens in the late afternoon.

    Third Day: Mycenae & Epidauros

    Depart from Athens for the Corinth canal (short stop). Drive to Epidaurus and visit the Ancient theatre, world famous for its outstanding acoustics. Proceed to Nauplia (short stop) and through the plain of Argos arrive to Myceane. Visit the archaeological site and the Tomb of Agamemnon. In the afternoon (optional stop for souvenirs) depart for Olympia, the birth place of the Olympic Games. Overnight stay Olympia.

    Fourth Day: Olympia

    Visit the archaeological site with the Temple of Zeus, the Temple of Hera, the altar of the Olympic flame, the Stadium and the archaeological Museum. Depart via PATRAS (short stop) to RION, cross the Corinthian bay by the bridge to ANTIRION. Pass by the city of Nafpakros and from there on, along the coastal road to Delphi, known in ancient times as the navel of the world. In the afternoon visit the picturesque mountain village of Arachova. Overnight stay in Delphi.

    Fifth Day: Meteora

    Visit the archaeological site, and, the Museum of Delphi. Depart for Kalambaka via Central Greece (short stop by Lamia). Overnight stay in Kalambaka (a small town built at the foot of the majestic grey rocks and crowned by the Meteora Monasteries).

    Sixty Day: Meteora

    Leave in the morning for nearby Meteora to visit the BYZANTINE MONASTERIES. Return to Athens passing the heroic monument of Leonidas of Sparta at Thermopylae. Overnight in Athens

    Transfer from the Hotel to the port to take the boat for the island of Mykonos. Upon arrival at Mykonos Island, transfer to the Hotel. Enjoy the day off to discover the cosmopolitan island of Mykonos or explore some beaches.

    Fourth – Fifth day: Mykonos

    Free day on the island. On the island of Mykonos, the island of the “Winds” as they call it! Situated in the South Aegean and often compared to Ibiza, even though being the smallest of the Cyclades complex, it combines the cosmopolitan atmosphere and wild nightlife with treasures of natural beauty and local color. The whole capital is full of bars, nightclubs and restaurants for all tastes, ages, sexual tendencies and musical preferences. Many of the clubs host famous international DJ’s who entertain their fans all night long.

    Sixty Day: Athens

    At the appropriate time, transfer from the hotel to the port, boat to Athens, arrival in Athens and transfer to the hotel

    Transfer from the Hotel to the port to take the boat for the island of Santorini. Upon arrival at Santorini Island, transfer to the Hotel. Enjoy the day off.

    Forth Day: Santorini

    Santorini is most probable the island with the most breathtaking views in the world. Santorini is an island located in the southern Aegean Sea, about 200 km (120 mi) southeast of Greece’s mainland. It is the largest island of a small, circular archipelago, which bears the same name and forms the southernmost member of the Cyclades group of islands.

    Santorini is essentially, what remains after an enormous volcanic explosion that destroyed the earliest settlements, on a formerly single island, and created the current geological caldera. Another popular theory holds that the Thera eruption is the source of the legend of Atlantis.

    Fifth Day: Santorini Volcano Tour

    Arriving at Athinios port, we board the traditional boat King Thira. Our first stop is the volcanic island of Nea Kameni where we will walk an ascending soil path to approach the crater of the still active Volcano.

    We continue to the island of Palea Kameni where we can swim in the green sulphur waters or bath in the warm therapeutic mud. After half an hour, the boat will sail to the picturesque of island Thirassia, where you can have lunch at one of the traditional seafront taverns or swim at the beach next to the port.

    The boat tour ends up at the Village of Oia where we will stay and admire the spectacular colorful sunset.

    Sixty Day: Athens

    At the appropriate time, transfer from the hotel to the port, boat to Athens, arrival in Athens and transfer to the hotel

    Seventh Day: return

    At the appropriate time, transfer from the hotel to the airport for the return flight.

  • First day: Athens

    Arrival in Athens and transfer from the airport to the Hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day with a tour of a first impression of the city.

    Second day: Athens City Tour

    Athens half day tour begins with a panoramic drive around Syntagma square, passing by National Garden, Hadrian’s Arch, St. Paul’s Church, Parliament, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Catholic Cathedral, and Schliemann’s House. You will then drive past the Athens Trilogy, which includes the University of Athens, the Academy of Athens, and the National Library. Your licensed guide will explain more of Athens’s history old and new as you look at these stately buildings. Continue for a photo stop at Panathinaiko Stadium where the first Olympic Games took place in 1896. It is the only stadium built out of white marble. Proceed, passing by Zappeion and Temple of Olympian Zeus.

    Make your way to the archaeological site of Acropolis and UNESCO’S world heritage monument. Visit the Propylae the monumental entrance to the Acropolis which blends Doric and Ionic building principles, and the small temple Athena Nike, which stands on a protruding mass of rock, protecting the gate to the city and of course the Parthenon, and Erechtheion with its porch of Maidens.

    Third day: Mykonos

    Transfer from the Hotel to the port to take the boat for the island of Mykonos. Upon arrival at Mykonos Island, transfer to the Hotel. Enjoy the day off to discover the cosmopolitan island of Mykonos or explore some beaches.

    4th. day: Mykonos

    Free day on the island. On the island of Mykonos, the island of the “Winds” as they call it! Situated in the South Aegean and often compared to Ibiza, even though being the smallest of the Cyclades complex, it combines the cosmopolitan atmosphere and wild nightlife with treasures of natural beauty and local color. The whole capital is full of bars, nightclubs and restaurants for all tastes, ages, sexual tendencies and musical preferences. Many of the clubs host famous international DJ’s who entertain their fans all night long.

    Fifth day: Santorini

    Transfer from the Hotel to the port and take the boat for the island of Santorini. Upon arrival in Santorini, you will have the transfer to the Hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day off.

    Sixty Day: Santorini

    Santorini is most probable the island with the most breathtaking views in the world. An island full or images and attractions, we offer a selection of Santorini day tours and  shore excursions, including Fira Town , wine tasting experience tours, trips to Caldera (volcano), walking tours, day cruises with bbq, and  sunset tours or cruises . Santorini is an island located in the southern Aegean Sea, about 200 km (120 mi) southeast of Greece’s mainland. It is the largest island of a small, circular archipelago, which bears the same name and forms the southernmost member of the Cyclades group of islands.

    Santorini is essentially, what remains after an enormous volcanic explosion that destroyed the earliest settlements, on a formerly single island, and created the current geological caldera. Another popular theory holds that the Thera eruption is the source of the legend of Atlantis.

    Seventh Day: Santorini Volcano Tour

    Arriving at Athinios port, we board the traditional boat King Thira’s. Our first stop is the volcanic island of Nea Kameni where we will walk an ascending soil path to approach the crater of the still active Volcano.

    We continue to the island of Palea Kameni where we can swim in the green sulphur waters or bath in the warm therapeutic mud. After half an hour, the boat will sail to the picturesque of island Thirassia, where you can have lunch at one of the traditional seafront taverns or swim at the beach next to the port.

    The boat tour ends up at the Village of Oia where we will stay and admire the spectacular colorful sunset.

    Eighth Day: Athens

    At the appropriate time, transfer from the hotel to the port, boat to Athens, arrival in Athens and transfer to the hotel

    Ninth Day: return

    At the appropriate time, transfer from the hotel to the airport for the return flight.

    Ninth and Tenth day: Crete

    Two free days to visit the largest island in Greece. Heraklion is the largest urban center in Crete, the capital of the region and the economic center of the island. Among the most outstanding sights of Heraklion are the fortification walls that delimit the “old city”, the Martinengo, the Chanioporta with the characteristic winged Lion of Saint Marc and the New Gate. One should not miss a visit to the Archaeological Museum, one of the most important museums in Greece. Other museums that are worth visiting are the Historical Museum, the Museum of Natural History and the Aquarium “Cretaquarium”.

    It is a very dynamic and cosmopolitan town, particularly during the summer period when thousands of visitors can be seen shopping in the market or visiting the museums and other places of interest.

    Eleventh day: Return

    At the appropriate time, transfer from the hotel to the airport where you will have the flight to Athens and connection to the return flight.

    Arrival: 6:00 PM: | Departure: 23:00

    In the morning departure from the hotel and transfer to board the cruise ship. First, stop on the wonderful island of Mykonos. The picturesque center of the island, with its characteristic cobbled streets called “time” and is the place where you can buy day and night, but also experience the island’s famous nightlife that lasts until dawn. Late afternoon departure to Kusadasi.

    Fourth Day Saturday: Kusadasi and Patmos

    Patmos- Arrival: 5:45 pm | Departure: 9:30 pm

    First destination of the day Kusadasi (Turkey), known for historical places of Ephesus and the house of the Virgin Mary, in addition to the famous beaches and the view of the Aegean Sea.

    The second destination is the island of Patmos, famous for hosting the monastery of San Juan and the cave that was wrote the Apocalypse, which plays a central role in the Christian religion. In addition to its religious significance, the island has beautiful beaches and unique features that are a favorite destination.

    Fifth Day Sunday: Crete and Santorini

    Crete – Arrival: 07:00 | Departure: 12:00

    Santorini- Arrival: 4:30 pm | Departure: 9:30

    First destination of the day is Heraklion, on the island of Crete, the largest island in Greece, where was the Minoan civilization and the palace of Knossos, which was the political and economic center of the time. Enjoy the morning to walk through the ancient city of Heraklion, with the old Venetian harbor, and enjoy the wide variety of restaurants and bars, where you can go out and enjoy the typical cuisine of Crete, which is the basis of the Mediterranean cuisine. Alternatively, visit the Heraclión museum and see the famous Phestos disco that, with its mysterious symbols printed on it, you will see until now its meaning.

    In the afternoon, the last stop is Santorini, famous for its spectacular views of the caldera, with typical white houses with stunning views of the Aegean Sea. Around 1600 BC the island was the site of the volcanic eruption that left a large crater called Caldera and was possibly the cause of the extinction of the Minoan civilization of Crete with a gigantic tsunami caused by the eruption. Another theory says that this was the origin of the legend of Atlantis. . In the afternoon do not miss the famous sunset seen in the typical village of Oia (pronounced Ia), where the sun seems to sink into the blue of the Aegean

    Sixty Day Monday: Return

    At the arrival in the morning in the port of Athens, and transfer to the airport for the return flight.

Continue for a photo stop at Panathinaiko Stadium where the first Olympic Games took place in 1896. It is the only stadium built out of white marble. Proceed, passing by Zappeion and Temple of Olympian Zeus.

    Make your way to the archaeological site of Acropolis and UNESCO’S world heritage monument. Visit the Propylae the monumental entrance to the Acropolis which blends Doric and Ionic building principles, and the small temple Athena Nike, which stands on a protruding mass of rock, protecting the gate to the city and of course the Parthenon, and Erechtheion with its porch of Maidens.

    Third Day: Mykonos

    Arrival: 6:00 PM: | Departure: 23:00

    In the morning departure from the hotel and transfer to board the cruise ship. First, stop on the wonderful island of Mykonos. The picturesque center of the island, with its characteristic cobbled streets called “time” and is the place where you can buy day and night, but also experience the island’s famous nightlife that lasts until dawn. Late afternoon departure to Kusadasi.

    Fourth Day: Kusadasi and Patmos

    Kusadasi – Arrival: 07:30 | Departure: 23:59

    Patmos- Arrival: 5:45 pm | Departure: 9:30 pm

    First destination of the day Kusadasi (Turkey), known for historical places of Ephesus and the house of the Virgin Mary, in addition to the famous beaches and the view of the Aegean Sea.

    The second destination is the island of Patmos, famous for hosting the monastery of San Juan and the cave that was wrote the Apocalypse, which plays a central role in the Christian religion. In addition to its religious significance, the island has beautiful beaches and unique features that are a favorite destination.

    Fifth Day Wednesday: Rhodes
    Arrival: 07:00 | Departure: 6:00 PM
    At the morning arrival on the island of Rhodes, the largest island of the Dodecanese archipelago, also known as the Isle of Knights, due to being inhabited by the Knights of St. John in the fourteenth century who built the Venetian castle and its walls, that are now UNESCO world heritage. Visit the old city center, the market and the typical streets, the whole castle which is one of the best preserved in the Mediterranean. Enjoy the flavor and the notes of this wonderful island.

    Sixty Day: Crete and Santorini

    Crete – Arrival: 07:00 | Departure: 12:00

    Santorini- Arrival: 4:30 pm | Departure: 9:30 pm

    First destination of the day is Heraklion, on the island of Crete, the largest island in Greece, where was the Minoan civilization and the palace of Knossos, which was the political and economic center of the time. Enjoy the morning to walk through the ancient city of Heraklion, with the old Venetian harbor, and enjoy the wide variety of restaurants and bars, where you can go out and enjoy the typical cuisine of Crete, which is the basis of the Mediterranean cuisine. Alternatively, visit the Heraclión museum and see the famous Phestos disco that, with its mysterious symbols printed on it, you will see until now its meaning.

    In the afternoon, the last stop is Santorini, famous for its spectacular views of the caldera, with typical white houses with stunning views of the Aegean Sea. Around 1600 BC the island was the site of the volcanic eruption that left a large crater called Caldera and was possibly the cause of the extinction of the Minoan civilization of Crete with a gigantic tsunami caused by the eruption. Another theory says that this was the origin of the legend of Atlantis. . In the afternoon do not miss the famous sunset seen in the typical village of Oia (pronounced Ia), where the sun seems to sink into the blue of the Aegean

    Seventh Day Monday: Return

    At the arrival in the morning in the port of Athens, and transfer to the airport for the return flight.

    Day 3 and 4 Monday – Tuesday: Mykonos

    In the morning departure from the Hotel and transfer to the port to board the Cruise ship. First stop the wonderful island of Mykonos.
